The Washington High School Soccer team is thrilled to join the Washington Sports Foundation, fundraising under the foundation’s non-profit umbrella. The soccer team has a long history of success, but can even do better with your support. Fund raised will help support the team’s practices and competitions, as well as provide for the purchase and replacement of equipment and athletic supplies.

In 2021 when school start times were shifted later, the soccer program whose season is in the winter months faced the challenge of it getting dark too early to have proper practices to prepare adequately for our games. In the past two years, we solved this challenge by renting temporary light towers to partially light our fields. However, this year, with help from the Washington Sports Foundation, the boys and girls soccer programs have successfully raised enough money to purchase portable floodlights to fully light the football stadium for evening practices. The soccer team is now raising funds to the purchase of a set of portable lights to light the soccer/baseball field as well, permanently solving the problem of lighting our fields!

Both the girls and boys programs have had strong performances, with the girls team reaching the city finals 10 times since 2002, and winning it in the 2021-22 season. The boys program has made the league playoffs in all but two of the past eight seasons and reached the city final the 2018-19 season. Both programs have their eye on a championship in this 2023-24 season!
